sup everyone, i have a 94 318i auto, stock suspension, the question i have is if anyone know how much my front would be lowered if i put in the front springs from a 93 manual 325 with sport suspension? thanks!
It might not lower the front very much if at all. The 325 is heavier in the front than the 318, so the spring will not compress as much as it would on a 325. It would also make the suspension unbalanced because the front would be a stiffer and the rear would still be the same. I would not recommend doing it unless you do not care about how your car would handle afterwards.
There is quite a difference in engine weights of the 325i and 318i. Chances are your car would actually sit higher. Besides, springs aren't that expensive ... you can buy a set of 4 for ~200; most brands.
With that said, running shorter springs with stock shocks will give you the look you want, but it's gonna bounce and handle terribly.
o, ok, cross that out then...lol...wut springs do you guys recomend, my car is pretty low in the back, i just want to lower the front a little, the front is stock, i switched out the rear shocks for bilstein touring shocks
