What colour are the 3 bands on your rear springs, and what model car do you have?

Mine are light blue, and BMW confirmed this was the right colour for my car as it has hardened suspension (1994 318is)

I sent off for some from a scrap-yard, and they assured me they were from a similar 318is, but these springs have light brown bands on them

I rang BMW and the guy told me the springs are colour coded for tensile strength, but he didn't have a table that listed colours/strengths/cars. issed2" class="inlineimg" />

If ANYONE can help me by telling me what colour bands are on their springs, and what car they have, I will be eternally grateful

Dam scrap-yard issed2" class="inlineimg" />

Thanks in advance!

Phil.
