Cams/lightened flywheel, throttlebody........ well lets see what happens
Your car looks somewhat like mine... but blue... lol.. nice..
BTW.. the Jim Conforti Shark Injector moves the top speed limiter to something in the area of 175.... theoretically.. thats not possible in our car... but you would'nt have to worry about it any more.... Turnermotorsports.com sells them.
AHH didnt see the TDS on your sig.. sorry... good god.. who knows.... You can call Turnermotorsports... that is one of the largest JC dealers around... if he makes them.. I'm sure they can get it for you..
Yeah , I sent them an E-mail ... I live in DK .. phone to USA expensive and don't even know what time is it there
The guy who had the car before me changed the engine of the 316 with a Turbo Diesel engine.

Removing The speed limit involves an upgrade to the ECU when done properly many things get changed in the car and its behavior:
A. The upgrade removes top speed governer
2) It increases rev. limit to 8,200 RPM
3) Brings the HP on Gas engines to 300-330 similar to the M3
4) it alters the throttle response of the drive-by-wire system when equipped.
Thank you for the reply.
Hmmm , I have e-mailed to about 10 companies that perform ECU upgrades ... let's see now.
Is this speed governor a chip or is some kind of software limitation in the ECU ?

Dude, listen to what people are saying - the only way to remove or "extend" the limit is to chip or shark - try doing a few searches on here to confirm

Which chip is boasting these kinds of HP gains? And based off of what engine? Maybe a 328 might get this gain, but I have heard that a chip doesn't do much till you have done other mods, intake, exhaust so on.

I have sent a few mails around and now I am waiting .....
The exhaust is changed , intake is changed.
I have the paper from the tests and it states clearly : 183 HP and 338 Nm
Somebody just sent me a reply and they are willing to take a look at my ECU and they are pretty sure they can remove the limit .... it will cost me something like 700 USD ... damnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Well , well , well ..... today was the big day when I went with the bimmer to the tunning company.
The guys told me that is not sure they can fix it but they can try .... so they put the car on the tes bench , start the engine and started to push it ...
1th gear , second .... 5th gear at 4500 the car .. KEEPS RUNNING UP in speed ... AMAZING ...210km/h ... 225 ...230...up to almost 235 or so .... 5200-5300 rpm... running SMOOTH ... incredible ..... I didn't know where to look .. at the car or at the test bench.... can't belive my eyes ghead ghead ghead ghead
Well.... the car was running fine on the bench ...no stop at 4500 RPM ..... this is ... CRAZY ...... so I don't know what to believ anymore .... next thing to do , take the car on the highway and try again..... maybe was some kind of glitch or something .... engine to hot ... oil to bad (just changed oil before I took the car to the test) .. don't know ... I am searching an explanation now ....
Anyway guys thank you for all the support and see you around ... Yhaaaaaaaaaa
