Special Intake Heatshield?

I remember seeing an intake heatshield that had a insert on the side of it for the air flow tube in the front to go to...but I can't remember the name. Can anyone remind me of that kind of heatshield? Thanks

Are you speaking of the alternator cooling duct???... or are you talking about an aftermarket system... ?... thats rather confusing...

Yeah, that's the word I was looking for...the alternator cooling duct. I've seen intake heat shields that have a place for the duct to go there instead of the alternator.

If you are running stereo or something of the sort that takes a good amount of power.. I'd get away form moving that air duct... its rather vital...

Ok I'll stay away from that then...it looks like the newer 3 series type cars are able to have intakes like that...atleast that's what it looks like from the AAtuning.com site.
