I went to the stealership a couple of days ago to ask for the replacement piece to my speaker trim. He said, "Sure, we have it but you have to buy it all together." I asked, "Together with what?" He said, "With the speaker. The speaker is $70.00." I thought, "WTF!" ...then I left....
Now, I'm confused. Is the speaker trim attached to the speaker itself, or are they just making me buy the damn speaker so they get more money?
BTW - That shitty speaker is hardly worth $70.00. I'd much rather go get some aftermarkets that sound far better for much less!

Go Ebay...I'm also looking for a trim replacement...and BMW told me the same thing...for some reason the frame is impposible to get on its own...you can only by the speakers on ebay for like 20$-50$ for a set.
Also Autowerks and another british website sell aluminum replacement rings.....goodluck.
I asked Dave (internet parts guy) at Ralph Schomp automotive the same question this week and got the same reply - no trim without speakers. And he quoted me $70something for each speaker. Dave's a good guy - I trust him.
And so I'm looking for salvage, etc, for other options.
The flashy aluminum doesn't appeal to me.
Good luck - and if you have any luck, please post back here...
Thanks for the help guys, but I too think the aluminum is a bit too flashy. I am looking for oem or something quite similar. I'm about to just rip off the broken piece and have no trim! It looks... well... crappy... Makes my ride look ghetto...

lol yeah mine s chipped or something. i need to replace them too, but not with the flashy bling bling stuff. nothing in my car is chrome so it will just throw everything off.
yes, that's why god invented spraypaint.... of paint mixer people at walmart, lowes, and home depot... Just take the origional (or what's left of it) and ask for some paint the exact same color. Get the aluminum rings and boom, replacement.
The trim ring kind of holds the speaker into the door but I do have both a left and a right blown HK, with black trim that I can send to one of you guys. That is if you want to mess with it.
