Which spark plugs

Hi all,

New member here with my first question. My girlfriend actually owns the 328i, so I'm coming to you all for assistance.

I'm looking to replace the spark plugs on her 2008 328i because the light came on in her car.

What brand should I look for and do I need to also change out the ignition coil?

thanks,
jegonzo3

The two OEM plugs are Bosh and NKG Platinums. They dont need to be the four prong. I prefer the NKG plugs myself. The ignition coils should not need replacement unless they themselves fail. At this time you dont need to replace them.

Thumbs up Reply

You can use Bosch, Denso, AC DELCO platinum spark plug. You do not have to change ignition coil but when you remove the coil then note that which coil goes to which plug with a marker or some tape so the coils and plugs are not mixed up. Replacement of the spark plugs must be a part of the routine maintenance of your BMW 328i. If you change spark plugs on regular time intervals then your car mileage will constant.
