Spare's loose

Couple of weeks back I let my bro borrow the car to do some moving and he must've done something with the spare, took it out for more storage room, because the thing is loose and rattles around. WHen I checked yesterday I realized the nut or whatever is missing. What exactly holds the spare in place? And where can I get the part. The bolt is still sticking through the spare and the plastic on top too.
I would appreciate your help. Thanks.
Oh ya, it's a 93 325i. Trunk mounted.

There should be a piece that sits in the hole of the wheel and a wing nut tightens that down. You should be able to get the metal piece from the stealership and the wing nut from a hardware stor.
