spacers. whats the deal? is there a disadvantage?

I saw an M3 out at Hallett Motor Speedway that had um without getitng longer bolts and lost a wheel on the track and bit it, totaled it... make sure if ya do it don't 1/2 ass it

The only reason to buy spacers is to allow more clearance between the suspension and brakes for the wheel. The need generally arrises when someone uses wide wheels witht he incorrect offset.

i bought 19 in. m3 wheels for my 318is and the front 2 tires are rubbing the springs I think spacers would work but im not sure. the wheels clear the fender and wheelwell with ease just rubbing the springs. what do you think?

if they are rubbbing the springs spacers are your only option.
