something wrong with my valves...( i think )

hmm...well, this happend out of the ordinary...Lately my car has been running really well but i noticed that there is a like clickingish or knockingish noise coming from the top where you can feel it in the timing cover...i took it to my mehcanic and he said it might be a hydralic valve problem...i dont know but i know its not a rod knock...you can feel it hitting against the top of the valve guide...hmm, well if you guys have anything problem related to the one im having, please tell me whats up...thank you and God Bless...Oh yea and even though that noise occurs; it doesnt effect the performance at all..

If you do short journeys the valves get very sticky and start to rattle, this happens on my car so once a month I have to go for a 100 mile round trip to sort it out, its no good sitting there and just rev it up you have to go for the drive.

^ yours could be your Vano unit bumping up the oil a weight can fix it....

how many miles are on the car Saylee? It could be vrnish in the engine... Add about 1/3 a can of seafoam into the oil and drive it till you next (Atleast 300 miles)oil change and change it out for Full Synthetic(if not already running it) at the next higher weight then your running... At about half way threw add like 1/4 of the remaining seafoam in and that should take can of all the varnish...

a varnish...??? im sorry i but what does that mean...im running my car on full synthetic and i just changed my oil 175 miles ago; last week. but thanks though,,,ill use the seafoam in the next thousand miles...

U never said which car or what engine?
Sounds like you could need a valve adjustment or worst case scenario, a lifter.
