i've just changed the fog light bulb on the front drivers side of my bmw 328, and can i get the lamp back into its place...... can i heck!!!....... how can this be done please tell me because im stuck....... please...... theres is this clip on the right hand side of the aperture which looks like it is like a "rocker" type - should this have a spring on it?

No, there isn't any spring. To install the fog light assembly, align the outboard pivot hooks with the tabs on the mounting bracket and push the inner end into the opening until the securing clip snaps closed.

in a simple version of jll.

put the outside corners into place, then push the inside corners in til they click.

slide the end facing the the middle of the car in first, at an angle. Wait for it to catch the hook, then slide it fully into place. When the outside end is alsomost flush, give it a firm push and it should clip into place.

If it doesn't, you probably broke the mounting tab when you removed it.
