some translation please

1998 bmw 318i

Door lock problem. I have checked the trunk wiring all is good.
Driver door manually pressed will lock all doors. Anything else (central lock on console, passenger door manual or remote button) and the driver door will not lock. Alarm will arm with door unlocked. Key in door will lock it.

I am looking at the wiring diagram and have options and I am not sure what I have.

There is a diagram for central locking system (ZKE/ZV)
There is also a diagram for central locking module II (ZVM II)

They appear to be differant and I am not sure what I have. If someone could help me out it would be appreciated.

Also the translation to english of these terms may help:

ZV (Zentral Verriegelung)
ZKE (Zentrale Karosserie Einheit)
ZVM II (????)

ZKE (Zentrale Karosserie Einheit)= central chassis unit

That does help but I am still not sure what system I have. Anybody know how I would find out if I am ZKE/ZV or is it ZVM II???

so anyway just an update. took apart driver door lock today. not easy but managed. took the actuator off the lock assy and played with it. seemed to work fine when triggered on bench with 12v according to wiring diagram. put it all back together and it works just fine. weird. for how long we will see.

Maybe a bad wire somewhere? It can happen...
