Whats up? I'm alex and i just joined this site... Anyways i have some questions about the performance parts that i could get for my 328i bimmer. I am getting a cold air intake and an exhaust system but thats about it...cuz i dont know what else i can get that would increase the hp and torque but wouldnt F*** up my engine as bad as a turbo or a supercharger would. I need some with that.

The other question i have is this. The car i own has been damaged pretty bad and now you can kinda see that the passenger's side is kinda lower then the driver's side is...I have brand new shox and all but its still tilted...could you guys tell me what to do? thanks.

Performance(speed I am guessing), a chip/shark on top of the other things will give you a noticable difference. I recommend turnermotorsport.com and the Conforti software, or Dinan but Conforti claims higher gains. Since you have a 328 your car is OBDII so you will have to shark it. Also you can get a M50 manifold(the manifold from the 325 OBDI engine). That is supposed to give you some good gains also.

The suspension problem I don't really know, sorry.

Read about my Frankenmotor Project and see how an M50 becomes an S50!!!

No, don't worry. It's cool. I'm taking it back for us.

A set of underdrive pulleys and a software upgrade would be good. I like the UUC pulleys and the Conforti "shark" software. Check Turner motorsport for the software and Understeer for the pulleys. these two things and, maybe the manifold change are about it, unless you want to crack open the engine and install M3 cams. Understeer also has info about the manifold change.

I know in m3's the ride height on the passenger side is purposefully lower than the driver's to offset the weight of the driver. Is this the case in your car? I do not know; this is a question as much as a possible comfort.

The tilt to the right is normal. All E36's do it. And no, I have no idea why. The two biggest theorys are : one- so when the driver gets in it will be level. Two: the rear springs are the same, but the heavy battery is located in the rear on that side. Pick one or think up your own.

TMS shark is good. Also, not all CAI are equal. The best for the money are ECIS-- which comes with a heatshield, or cosmosracing (not to be confused with cosmoracing). The cosmos is like the Dinan set up, which requires moving the horn because of the longer tube which sits lower to the ground, by the brake duct. SOme say the disadvantage is that this "long" setup could cause water intake (very bad). The ECIS is a "short ram" style, but requires a heat shield--and some folks take out the fog light and "pipe" cold air to hte air filter.
M50 manifold has it's ups and downs. It might open up HP at the top end, but also lower the torque at the lower end. For that reason I wouldn't do it.
Under drive pulleys are one of hte best ways to free up horsepower for relatively little money. UUC is reputable. Check understeer.com
There's also something called the fan-delete mod which sounds pretty simple and very cheap, and can open up more HP.
Hoep that helps. I've found most of this info on searches here and on bimmerforums.com threads.
Hope that helps
