Some one came by while my car was parked on campus and put a solicitation for student work over the break inbetween my window and the weather seal on the outside. It then rained and plastic-y-pappery solicitation is now stuck on my window. I tried to peel it off but the back part still sticks just like labels on bottles or pricetags on books. I found the phone number for the company that did it and filed a report with campus security who will pass it on to JPD becaues they were tresspassing on the private college property (my college does not allow solicitaion of any kind on campus). The company is vector marketing, I was able to find another of the solicitations that was not stuck to a car (found 2 others stuck on two other cars, apparently they put the solicitations out some time after monday). So i've got their number and the number for their regional head quarters.
My question is how big a deal is this? Should I even bother calling them about this? I hate that there is sticky stuff inside the weather seal and on my window. Not to mention getting the solicitation out from between my window and weather seal. I really don't have a problem calling them and our alumni advisor for my frat is a lawyer here in town so I could prolly get them to pay for the removal without too much of a hassle. It just pisses me off that I have to deal with this now. They were tresspassing and now they have "vandalized" my car (granted it is just a pain to fix). I'll take a pic of it and post it tommorow.
lol it can be a pretty big deal, if you make it one, personally i cant stand anyone touching my car , especially for any ad type cards. i say run with it and see what you can get...
I say make it a big deal. This is essentially the same thing as SPAM... seemingly harmless, but with potential consequence. And you know how big a deal spam became...

theres no need to flex your fraternity here. we don't need it. a fraternity is a fraternity. unless you're on the same campus and sworn enemies, even then we don't care.

I say take em' to the mat, make an example out of them. You could file a small claims for like $35 and end up getting punitive damages for your time and hassle not to mention making them think twice about doing that again.
Well I called the BMW Dealership today and asked them how much they would charge to take out the window and clean all that crap off. They said 3hrs of work which equals $261. I got off the phone with some one at Vector about 40 mins ago. He's sending it up the line and told me he would call me back hopefully within the hour. So I am going to give him 1hr 1/2 before calling back. If things are going well, then I'm calling our Alumni Advisor.
I'm getting mroe pissed because I was supposed to have left Jackson, 15 mins ago. I'm going to miss my dentist appointment this afternoon in Little Rock.
Storamin, what fraternity do you belong to? I'm sorry if LXA sucks whereever you are. But every chapter is different. So please, keep your ignornat comments to yourself, or at least out of my serious posts.
Get them by sticking bananas in all their tailpipes. Fight ads with fire:
