| i belive it is before the cat, however, it will be placed ABOVE the pipes, so its sort of a hard reach. Im pretty sure its above it, thas how it was on my e34 M50 525, and im pretty sure its da same here. best thing to do, is take it out, clean it (no chemicals) and put it back and try it. good luck
