| You know how when you go between medians on the highway you can hear every noise your car makes?.... Well when i first bought my car a few months ago I noticed a slurpy noise coming from my exhaust ( like when you are down to the end of a pop from mcdonalds through a straw).... I got my car in the air with it running and found some leaks in the resonators and welded them shut. This cured the problem a lot but not completely. At the same time I noticed the guts in my muffler were shot so i figured the rest of this noise was caused by the blown muffler. I then put an m3 muffler on. Exhaust note got quieter but slurpy noise still there (I do not like the quiet note by the way). Since then i have had the car in the air again with the exhaust dropped down on a transmission jack so i could feel the top for leaks. I could not find any leaks from the manifold back. I passed e check so i do not think the cats are rusted out (they could be though). Since I did patch up holes in the resonators they might be rusted inside but why would the exhaust note be so quiet? I feel like this sound is the cause for the sluggishness of my 93 325is. Any input is appreciated.
