I doubt you'll find anyone on this board who has one. Even on bimmerforums or DTMpower they are quite rare.

For now, mine is in my sig.

i got a carbon fiber hood on my black bmw also with carbon fiber emblems, ill get some pics in here

So I know that CF hoods are a lot lighter than the stock hoods but do they really take off that much more weight and does lightening the car by that much even help performance at all?

think about what you just said, yes it is lighter but no way can a hood make your car faster

Hehe, ok yeah a hood cannot make you go faster but if you take off enough weight you can go faster.

For an E36 (probably not including the 318ti) it's as follows:

Standard OEM hood: 45 lbs
Carbon Fiber hood (on average): 12 lbs

You save: 33 lbs

Yeah, it's a marked weight difference, but I still don't think it'll make that much difference in a car that weighs north of 3,200 lbs.

Plus I think they look goofy as hell on non-black cars.

your awsner is yes, you can also paint it so its like red for example with c/f weave
