I personally love my driving lights, they seem to work well during the early evening and early morning hours, but if you don't use 'em or care for 'em, the mesh idea would be a cheap solution.
I'd go for the lights as well. Someone else on this forum wanted to do the same thing recently. I'd have to see the entire car to be sure. Also, nice topic title.

i think that the mesh doesnt look that bad? i mean sure foglight would be better but if your hard for cash go for it, as for angel eyes, cheap isnt always bad, but make sure you are ready for it to be a POS cuz that might be what you get
Mesh grills look good, but I really like the functionality of the foglight. They really do improve lighting a good deal. But of course do what you like best and what you can afford. Put mesh in until you decide to get a new foglight.
As for new Headlights, I wouldn't recommend going cheap. Its your lighting...its the reason you can see at night. Go with something that is tried and true and tested...
