Is A Short Shifter Worth The $$?

Gents got a 93 525 w/ 5 spd and shifter is somewhat sloppy, is a short shifter worth the money and if so which one and can I install it myself? Thanks a million.

By a B&M, tried and true. UUC, and the rest are fine too, but I'd recomend B&M

I'm sorry, but what is a short shifter exactly? Like what is the difference.

No it just makes the amount you have to move the shifter much shorter, and in turn makes the shift easier and more comfortable.

I've used all the short shifters besides the AA... well just the main players... UUC and B&M... and a few other off the wall names... but they are rather easy to install with normal tools.... and maybe a jack... as for which one... B&M if you dont have money... UUC if you got some laying around... and Rogue Engineering Octane SSK if you got about 350 in your pocket and if you want the best of the best... IMO.
