I have a 95 325i and the shifter has a lot of play in it. I was wondering if there are any bushings in the linkage that might need replacing or if anyone could explain to my why this happened ~thanks~
There are several bushings that wear with time. I have the same problem. PelicanParts sells a kit with all the shifter bushings. Besides excessive play, some people experience difficulty shifting into certain gears, particularly third.
