Shift boot replacement
Anyone know how to replace the shift boots/get it off the counsel? i searched the DIY's with no avail

The shift nob just pulls off... (if it's the original) requires a bit of pulling. The boot itself has clips at the bottom that keep it in place. You have to pop them out. You need to work it slowly out. You can use a small screwdriver. The replacement boot from BMW doesn't last very long by the way.

i got it off. oh no i didnt replace with a stock OEM boot. i got this combo off of ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-M...99561472QQrdZ1
