Sharking. Whos done it?

we tried to shark his car last night, after reading the instructions and all about how it says to keep the power supply a minimum of 12.5v for the entire process or risk screwing up the car, we didn't have a battery charger, so we tried hooking his batery up with jumpers to another battery.

we checked the battery with a VOM, read at 12.53v

it ran the backup process fine, but the gave us an error code for not enough engine voltage.

checked the battery again with the VOM, still 12.53v.

should we just go get the charger and do it like the instructions say, or did we just miss something?

I don't know for sure, but can make a very educated guess. It is probably not a lack of voltage present, but a lack of current. A battery charger plugged into an AC wall outlet has much more amperage on tap than a +12V battery. I would do as the instructions say, and borrow, steal, or buy a batttery charger.

ya i did it a couple of weeks ago, got a battery charger from sears...it needs constant 10 amp source...do that and u will be fine.

just got a call from my friend sharking. he stopped in an auto shop and borrwed a charger to do it.

he says the 0 - 60 time improved by more than half a second. <.<

also says that the throttle response is extremely quick so his starts are alot faster.




conforti can do that? O.o .. i might invest.
