My sh*t is not disco. Thank You.
Its a computer software upgrade... much like a chip.. but due to the OBD-II limitations.. ( I think, not exactly sure why not a chip ) but it flashes your computer system with new software... just like a chip it replaces stored info like rev limiters... top speed governers... ect.. fuel mapping... and a few more things.... Turner Motorsports sells them.. made by Jim Conforti... its a great upgrade....

I don't think you understood my question. My question was if the dealership could shark my car (acually do the reprogramming there at the dealership) Not if the dealership can reprogram my car with something i bought from conforti, dinan, ect

If you found a dealer that would do something like that they would probably charge you thousands of dollars maybe by upgrading the ECU or something ridiculous...
but I have a feeling they would tell you it would void the warranty....
I don't know either, but ive heard they can hook your car up to a computer and undo the things bmw does to limit power. Who knows, maybe im just crazy and im pulling this out of my ass but i thought i heard it from somewhere

Sure... the dealership updates the programming on ODBII cars all the time.
To not answer your question, but add a nice twist.... BMW of Greenwich, Conn. is also an authorized Dinan shop!. Very rich neighborhood, lots of peeps there buy M3's then roll it across the lot straight into the dinan garage to be worked out.
To do list:
Suspension--- researching
UUC System U TDM- 3/05
M50 manifold converstion 3/05
off to the tuning shop for custom software 4/05
Cams/lightened flywheel, throttlebody........ well lets see what happens
i am debating whether or not to do it to my car? does it make that much difference in HP. i haev the figures from websites, but i need some views on the product. thanx
