Several Problems With 92 325i - BMW Forum

First Problem: My car overheats when I am stopped and runs fine when I start going again. The problem is, that it doesn't do it all the time just every couple of days.

Second Problem: My car cuts off when I am driving down the road and then it comes back on. I think there is a short some where, or a loose connection, just trying to pinpoint it.

To anyone who has ever have these problems a solution would be much apreciated.

The first problem could be your radiator fan clutch.. don't know about the second problem tho...

Sounds like either; a fan problem - simple fix, or it is your radiator clogging up or water pump going bad. I have replaced radiator and water pump twice at 196K. My cooling fan is electric (93 325i) no problems with fan yet. Good luck with the electrical. A good diagnostic check from the dealer will show a lot.
