Actually, it cost $280, not including the ball joint, but including the oil filter and some other minor stuff.
Does anybody else trust a local mom and pop mechanic with fixing their BMW?

i was close..consider yourself lucky it wasnt more.. if the shop does work on euro cars then sure. I would ask ahead of time tho

BMW Aquarium is an unknown quantity at this point
I was quoted 28.00 for serpentine belt (w/AC) and 38.00 to install.
Haven't gotten to the ball joint yet.
