Seeking Advise

Hey guys, i am kinda new to all this, and looking for an advise. I have a BMW 325i 1995, 5 Stick Shift , and i am trying to make my car fly . But no matter what i tried it still runs too heavy, cant smoke from parked position and when i push Gas it start to gain speed very slowly . Any ideas what should i look for ? Or what should i check in my car ? Any ideas would be much apreciated.

I have a 95' 325i and I have no complaints about power. Although I do have a custom intake and exhaust but I probably only gained like 10 hp and 10 ft/lbs of torque. I just ordered a Dinan chip and I will get that installed for a little more power as well. I did some research and the Dinan chip seems to be the overall best. If you have all stock equipment then yeah you might experience some sluggishness but also if you have a stick 5-speed then a lot of it might have to do with how you drive it. If you haven't had a tune-up in a while, then that also might be a factor. There are many things you could do...such as just changing the spark plugs. Good luck.

get a turbo..j/k..how many miles? over 100K i assume. Do a tune up- change plugs, fuel filter, air filter all that good stuff.. If it is a 5 spd and you cant burn out then maybe your clutch is shot.. I could spin the wheels on a 90HP CRX w/o a prob. With the bimmer it happens by accident sometimes.. If it feels like something is majorly wrong with the acceleration have it checked out..

Also you could be babying it..let her rev up to 5K and then shift. If your changing gears at 2-3K then it would be very sluggish

She has 111K on it, and its pretty hard to say if she is stock equiped or not.. Prev owner did a few changes (visuals) like a rear Spoiler, front bumper but i think thats about it. He used reg oil instead of syntetic and when i found Champion spark plugs ($0.99) under the hood i was overpissed. Now i did tune up, so i changed this Champions crap for Bosh Platinum +4. But its still seem wierd. I also dont know what kinda Exhaust i have, looks cool and much louder than a stock one tho

When i rev it to 4-5K while shifting 1 to 2 , and 2 to 3 it smells like a "barbeq", if you know what i mean. Also at 4k sometimes she sound like she is going to die on me... its not good.

If you guys dont mind, plz, tell me what did you change in your Ladys (with a links plz so i wont feel like used). I know that '95 isnt a brand new, but i also know it is possible to make a candy out of her .
