for some reason ive never been able to set the siren off.i know it kinds sounds dumb but i want it to go off when ever it needs to. is there some way to increase the sensativity?

There is a sensitivity switch but it really is hard to get to ( at least in an e36/5) Its behind the glovebox toward the foot area. I gave up on adjusting the sensitiviy.

Why do you want to increase sensitivity? I've found that doing so only annoys your neigbors as the alarm goes off every time a big rig drives by.

From a safety perspective, the alarm protects pretty good...and will go off if someone breaks glass. I've never been convinced that bumping someone's car is a precursor to theft.

what exactly are you suppose to do to turn it up and where exactly is it theres just a whole shitload of wires under there

There's a black box behind the glove box (have to remove it...see FAQs). There are a few switches on the box for things like horn/siren option to go off and beep/silent when you lock/unlock your car. I THINK that there may be a sensitivity switch as well.
