205 + 160 = 365... thats not too bad.. are your seats in bad shape in your car??? u have to understand that if u buy these seats.. u are going to drive uncomfortable...
i personally wouldn't buy they...
1- b/c my leather is in great shape
2-they are uncomfortable
3- IMO it looks ricey!!
They look good, I don't see how they would be more uncomfortable than normal BMW seats. They are pretty much the same design as the M3 vader seats. Also how do black seats look ricey?
That ad is really confusing though, what the hell is a JDM BMW Recaro AC Schnitzer seat? That's like having an M3 Type-R X-Type. Doesn't really make sense. Anyways, the price seems too cheap so I wouldn't purchase them. A seat is something you'd want to be high quality. Especially if you're planning to use the 4-point harness with it. For the price those are selling for with the sliders and harness, you couldn't even buy one of my Corbeau seats.

as for autotechnica... i called them ricey b/c they belong in either a RACE car.. thats at the track... or a little civic...
i'm not saying that BMW's can't be race cars... i believe that they don't really belong in a bmw! No offence i know your got them in your car..

Actually, race seats and race harnesses have nothing to do with hammering the gas, the whole point is to keep you planted to the seat while you brake (forward force) and while you corner (lateral force). While accelerting you wouldn't need the race seat or the race harness. A lot of people use them for auto-x because of all the sharp turns and vigorous braking. The point is to make your hands more free while cornering so you don't have to hold onto the steering wheel for support. No offense, but if you're not a performance driver that's fine, but you really shouldn't knock them if you haven't tried them out yet. If not for performance driving but for cosmetic appeal, those seats are really subtile. I doubt anyone would even noticed they were aftermarket. Even when my car was stock, I felt like I was falling off my seat and grabbing onto the steering wheel for dear life. I hated the stock seats.
BMW's aren't just pimp machines, they were actually made to handle like a performance sports car. On or off the track. And believe it or not, A LOT of BMW owners track their cars.
Anyways, have you even seen M3 vader seats before? They look almost identical to those he posted. I guess vaders are ricey too? The word "rice" is misused way too often these days. Rice is supposed to mean anything that is for cosmetic purposes only and serves no useful function, such as blue bulbs or washer jet LED's or a fat exhaust tip, etc.

I wouldn't get those bcs
They wouldn't match with my rear ones (leather all aorund in my car)
They don't have the electronic seat adjusters
No seat warmers
No need to change my seats atm
But I do agree with you mmclaren, BMW seats are not so comfy on long trips

For starters i prefer manual over the electric seats "one less problem" secondly i plan to be removing my back bench seat to be replacing with 2 regular seats and making the middle area for speakers, and i just wanted opinions, i dont believe they are ricy, my cloth seats are in average condition and selling them, well im in australia, would cost you an arm and a leg for me to send them over seas. And finally i do often trips of 3000 miles plus, my point is im looking for compy seats that look reasonable. Leather was an option but at the moment when its braking 40' celcius here in aus leather ages majorily and fast, it also heats up easily. So if anyone has an idea of wat i should be looking for i would love to hear your opinion
And heat warmers, nahhhh for starters my car didnt come with them, and secondly if you have been to Australia al you could want in your seats is a few bags of ice
My friend has seats like those in his Civic.. you will find them VERY uncomfortable! They will fit you car if you purchase the sliders off Ebay.
Your best bet is to save your money and do it the right way.
i'd say get them if you're going to auto-X, if no then don't get them.
