Seat Tilt issue - Used search, nothing found

I have a 97 328is. The passenger seat tilts forward when you pull either lever, but it won't stay tilted forward when you let go of the seat. It tries to bat you into the rear seat as it swings back.

What's broken on it?

edit: These are power sport seats.

There could be a spring "off" at the inner linkage...
Think you ought to have the seat out and take a look !
