im trying to take my seats out.. i need to remove my whole interior but thats a story for another day. the seats wont move forward for me to get the bolts holding them down from the back!!! i cant see any other way to take the seats out! help me out. any way possible.
Edit: im sure it would be helpful to mention theses are standard not electronic seats.

do the sliders look like they are rusted out? if yes, wd40 and leave overnight before trying again. a little help with a light hammer might dislodge the rust
when u move the lever to release the lock.... look under the seat(way under)and see if the is any movement- a cable or a wire that locks/unlocks the fwd/bckwrd mech'sm. If the cable is missing, then u need to fabricate one.
thanks, its almost 1 am but im going to go look at it now and check for the cable, i highly doubt its rust, i havent noticed any rust within the car itself, although i have seen it in my bay and on driver fender.

ok just looked, the cable is there, the spring compresses when pull on the handle. but there is rust, not much but its there. that could be it. the car is pretty shaken up, no clue what the previous owner did, but the drive shaft was missing when i bought it and there is a pretty solid gash where the shaft bracket mounts at the center console of the car. you think that could have affected the seats brackets?

TIP: check and see how the other seat operates.. tht gives u an idea how it locks and unlocks. ;-) and dont tell me both seats are stuck.. if yes, then it is surely rust(maybe in places u cannot see)
ok the spring is jst a retainer... the cable is the othe side of the rack releasing when u pull the adjustment lever? if no, the tht is the prob. u san manually tug on the mechanism in teh same direction as the cable pulls. probably need an assistant for that. one to hold each side ;-)
