The saggy headliner

So I got a quote on fixing the badly sagging headliner in my 92 325is.

- $325 for headliner (including sunroof and trim)
- $25 for pillars (total)
- $50-ish for sunroof repair parts

Gonna fix the sunroof while it's out, and that seems like a good price for parts and labor. The sunroof won't do the "tilt-up" right now.

Anybody else replaced/repaired their headliner? What'd you pay?

Thanks,

-- Greg

haven't had to replace the headliner, but whats the goof with the sunroof? Mine started doing that today. it will go back but wouldnt go up. Then I hit the console and it worked.

It is very common for the lifters in the sunroof to break in e36s. Mine did it while I had the sunroof out doing my headliner. The price on the sunroof is really good, usually its much more costly. Not sure on the headliner, did mine myself (what a bitch I don't recommend) I think $200 to $300 should be fair if the quality id good, ask to see some of their work. I would also suggest watching them take the pieces out of a car and see if they are careful, the tabs are fragile on the pillars.
