Running Rich

Lately when I have been driving with my windows down, I've noticed that a strong smell of gasoline. At first I thought it was just the other car next to me but when I drove past by my friend, he noticed that there was also a scent of gas. So it does seem that I might be burning more fuel. I checked my car for any leaks and there was none (although gasoline does evaporate in air). My MPG also hasn't gone down, it's about 18-20city and 25+highway. Any idea what could have cause this or anyways to solve it. Could it be the gremlins....could it????

is your car chipped??

it could aslo be an exhaust leak!

you could pull the plugs to find out if your actually running rich. if they are all black and have a strong fuel smell, or even if they are wet, then your running rich.

I do have a chip and you think that could be the problem? I'll put in my stock one and run it to see if it would resolve it. AS far as exhaust leak, I don't see any. Supid question but when you said 'plugs' you meant spark plugs right?
