today, when i was sitting at a stoplight, i noticed that my car was idling weird. the rpm needle has always sat at around 500 rpms and now it jumps up to about 1000 and then drops back to 500 and keeps doing that. any ideas why? does it do this on your car? any fixes for it?

classic symptoms of ICV needing cleaning.

you have to remove intake manifold. it is located under hole #4 of the manifold. use carb cleaner spray.

and what about fuel consumption? If your car dinks a lot of fuel doing that, it's probably oxygen sensor heating relay.I had the same problem..

hi,
make engine computer diagnostics and you'll know what's exactly wrong I 80% that it is oxygen sensor heating relay, but the oxygen sensor may be dead also.
