Hey, it started a while ago and now is getting worse. When my car is idleing (like at a redlight, or when I first start it), it sometimes starts shaking and jerking violently. When I slightly touch the gas and raise the rpms a bit, it stops and is perfectly smooth. I remember a thread a long time ago about something similar and it was their idle control valve, or something like that?
clean your idle control valve... or replace it...it's located under your intake manifold.
Also check vacumm lines for clogs and or holes. Check your battery because the ICV is 12v and if a weak battery is in place, an ICV can't function properly.. this actually happened to me last summer. Check o2 sensor/s. Run some injector cleaner through your car too. I do this stuff about 3-4 months now.
Just clean it out. Easy and cheap. Will very likely fix your problem. There are DIYs on this site, and I think they explain how to do it on the Bently manual also (you have one, right?).
