which rims for 99 silver vert

Greetings fellow E36eans...
I was wondering where you all went (online or real life) to buy rims/tires. Also, any ideas or opinions of what you think would look good on the car in my sig. I know this will limit me, but I am looking for sub $1000 if possible and no larger than 17" rims. Sales are good. Thanks!

I am about an hour north on NYC, if anyone could reccomend a shop there.

Try www.tirerack.com. I personally like a set of 5-spoke Mille Miglias they have. Anyway, they have an interface with which you can preview the rims on your car.

Personally I'd look for a nice set of factory wheels. I have no idea what they run though.

66: Yeah I have seen some nice M3 rims I like but I'm looking for new rims only and those are too costly for me right now.

About tires, I spent some time (here at work) and made an Excel file to calculate tire sizes and % difference on different rims. Check it out and make sure my math is correct if you like. Fields in yellow are where you enter te data (It's a zip because xls not allowed)

If you want to calculate what size tires will almost be the same as your originals this is a great site. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

I'm thinking pretty seriously about 17" ASA JH3's from tire rack. They are only 159 ea (on sale mind you). Very clean looking IMO. I can't find the weight of the 17" but read somewhere online the 18" was like 24 lbs. Im gonna check out the local tire store and see what they can do.
