just wanted to ask what is the difference between normal weight wheel and light wheels ?
thinking to get ssr gt3

i think with the lighter wheels they bend a a little easier on rough roads than "normal" weight wheels

yeah, lightweight wheels are generally made out of a magnesium/aluminum or similar alloy. While they are very strong, they are a lot more brittle when compared to regular Stock Rims. They are made more for tracks where there won't be bumps and rough surfaces. Normal weight are basically steel/iron alloy rims that are painted or chromed.

lighter is better obviously, but depending on how they were made...forged, cast, peened, ect thats what matters. BBS are the strongest cuz they use aircraft aluminum, but they are forged wheels! i think around 20lbs for 18''. but that is why they are soooo expensive
