Rim Help

Hey folks,

I was really planning on holding out on purchasing new rims for my E36 until the spring, but a deal just fell into my lap (sorta)

Here's the scoop....

They are a set of 4 polished 18x8 Parrallel Replicas that a friend of a friend had on his recently wrecked M3

Anyways, I haven't talked to him directly, but here is what I've been told.... they are basically mint (9 out of 10) but they have huge rubber on them.... either 255X35X 18's Nitto's (with 75% rubber) or 235X45??X18's.

I can snag the set for $450.... I believe the 255's is too big for an E36 (perhaps he had a wide body kit??) but Im hoping all the experts here can answer that question....

Whats the biggest tire you can go on a E36??

225 is the widest you can usually fo without any incident. 235s require some work.

Doogle325 just put on some huge ass wheels, and he is running 255, but it required serious rolling.

Out of courisity what work would be required to fit 235's alll the way around on an E36?

Im gonna take a look at these rim tonight, but to be honest Im not really in the market for Rims just yet.... unless the price is right.... I would just wait to the spring to grab my next set. IMHO $450 for 9rating 18in Parrallels with Nitto's is a price that you definately have to take a look at.

I have brand new Falkins on my 16 Parrallel's..... so I don't want to go out and buy fresh rubber if I don't have too..... I don't mind having to do a bit of rolling to make em fit if the larger tires can be mounted 'practically' on the car.

I've still go you mind though, don't worry. 235s usually fit fine in the rear, or require just a slight roll. I'd be very surprised if you didn't have to roll the fronts though.

Im not gonna look at these rims til Thursday now..... I was really hoping that I could just slap them on but now I've got to do some work to make em fit.... O well....
