Revving Engine... Please look and advise

Hi all!

I have a '93 325I with 125,000 miles. When the car is on and I either lock the doors, rolls up the windows, or close the sunroof, the engine revs a little and the RPM goes up from 500 for 1500. Any advice as to what might be the problem? Thanks!

bizzare...usually revs go down when you do things like that...current draw does it.

Of course, I think Timmy from South Park used to drive a 325 and he would accellerate by rolling up his windows

Maybe the car just responding to the extra draw by kicking up the RPMS so the alernator can keep up.

did u forget to mention moving the power seats back and forth?? hehe
i think it's normal.. your 125k miles on your car has nothing to do with what u see. if u really wanted to, change ur alt. to a more robust one... simple??
