The 92 318i is my dream car, I would just like some help deciding if it's actually worth the extra cash to me. How much can I expect to spend on maintenance, oil changes, etc...?
ive got a 92 318is and its a great car. 325's and on are great but the 318 gets great gas mileage and is fairly cheap to maintain. im in high school and i do all the work myself and i still have extra money left over.

Thats ok matey, they are still mighty fine cars.
Just keep up with her service intervals and she will look after you for many years...
As she is twenty years old, you should do the servicing yourself (or local garage), and buy a cheap service reset tool ! Very cheap to service my friend !!

i have one,4 door ,i dont regret it even if my car has a few problems its still great ,but still u should get a 320 for a bit more HP and its not that big of a diff in the amount of gas its gonna drink...that say'd the 318i is not slow
If your concerned about gas Milage a 318 is fine. However you will find that they are a fair bit underpowered. A lot of people become dissatisfied with the performance over time. I think they made around 125 HP stock? The same year 325i makes around 170 HP I think?
