Replacing Timing chain Tensioner for E36 318i 1994

Hi guys, Thanks for the help in advance. Has anyone attempted to replace Timing chain Tensioner for E36 318i? If you do know how or you've done it; please kindly provide some info on how to do it. Is it an easy task or does involve opening the engine? Thanks again.
