I have a thin red pin stripe on my car, it looks good, but its cracking apart in some parts, so i want to take it off and put a new one on.
has anyone had experience with removing racing stripes or anything? i assume you have to heat it somehow or something, wet it, then peel it off
is there a proper way to do this without scratching the paint?

YUCK! Pinstripes!!! ***BARF***
but to answer your question, you just use a blow dryer then peel it off. also, you may have to use a blade like tool made out of rubber. I don't know what it's called. good luck!

I have done it on my mom's suburban. You just need some 3M adhesive remover and it should come right off. You might want to use a hair dryer, but it's not necessary unless it's really hard to get off. Use a rubber wedge of some sort to peel at it. Nothing hard though.

I hate you guys.
One previous owner PAINTED my pins on. Can't remove them no matter how bad I want to.
