Replacing hood badge!

I have finally found a new badge but im not sure how to take the old one out and i dont want to damage my paint! Does any1 know what a good way to do this is?

grab a flat head screw driver, and a cotton cloth to wrap aroun d the top..gently slide the screw driver head under the emblem with the cloth around the tip and push up...

I used a credit card and it worked just fine. No need to worry about a cloth and all that.

I pushed the two pins out from the bottomside of the hood rather than prying from the top ....


If that don't work slide some dental floss under it and pull up....



Many times you will end up replacing the little rubber grommets too.

I tried that and it didnt work!

The creditcard thing didnt work either, I just kinda bent it lol but i used a Foodtown card so its ok, if u know what that is heh

but both of this could be because the previous genious owner glued it down with silicon, so it took a while to get it off but it worked with a screwdriver and a cloth i mite take a pic of the old one a bit later! thnx!!!

ewwww. yeah if they glued it that cause a problem. Mine was just snapped in...
