Replacing 1998 328i Fog Light

need to replace fog light~~~how do i remove old one and replace

There is a hole to the right hand / left hand side of the fog light - in the air vern next to it. which you should ''carefully'' put a screw driver in to and gently prize the fog light out of its mounting, - be very careful as i have broken the plastic lug which holds the fog light in place - and you then have to replace the whole unit.

I just did this for the first time last night. When you insert the screwdriver into the hole dont pry on the light, use a flathead with the edge vertical and press pretty much straight back. You will hit a lever that should release with only slight pressure. Finding the lever is the hardest part, if you jack the car up, and take a few of the underbody panels off (a 30 second job) will will have a better view, but this is not neccessary.
