| Replacement Sun Roof Motor Cover
I have OEM cover part in hand but I don't want to tear up the switch. Any tips on how to disconnect the switch w/out ruining it and reconnecting it with the new cover in place?
Theoretically this looks awfully simple. I've searched the web and haven't seen this simple issue covered. The plastic clasps have all broken and now the whole cover and switch assembly is hanging by the switch wires.
The replacment part, direct from a BMW dealership, has a hole cut for the switch assembly. I will need to somehow pry apart the switch assembly and reconnect both sides on either side of the new part.
Is there a safe way to do this without messing up the switch?
