remove the black covers covering the tailights in the trunk. There are 4 small nuts holding each light in place. Undo the nuts and wiggle the taillights out. Real easy to do..

You can very very gently thunk the screws with a rubber mallet after the nuts are removed to help loosen the assembly a bit.
