I am having trouble removing the parking brake cable from the underside where the cable goes into the cabin. The repair manual says it should just pull out, but I tried for a hour and had a friend come over and it wouldn't move for him either. Is there somthing else I need to do to make it come out. The car is a 1992 325i. Thank you
If it’s where the out cable fit into the floor pan they do knock out but they can seize in, it’s a matter of a long flat blade screw driver and a big hammer
The screw driver and hammer worked good. I got the right cable out but I will need to take the exhaust off to get to the left cable. For anyone who want to replace their parking brake cable themselves I would advise you it is a lot harder than it looks. Thanks everyone
