Removing Expansion Tank From Rad?

Hi guys,

does anyone know how you seperate the expansion tank from the radiator on a e36 318i?
the reason being if you look at this picture : http://oem.overnightautoparts.com/parts/ov...03075973OES.JPG my tank has sprung a leak on that big black seal you can see.

i have the rad removed and have removed the plastic part that screws on the top (where the bleed screw is) but cant seem to get the rest out!

The haynes manual says "remove the plastic top and extract the expansion tank" very useful, are there any screws holding it in or is it simply push fit? looking at the piccy id say push fit but i really dont want to yank too hard with out knowing for sure!!

when u pull it, its best to pull the whole fan shield its connected to. remove the radiator cover piece. then pop out the little plug clips that hold in the housing at the top. then slide up the whole housing with the tank as well....u may have to undo a few hoses, but work slowly and make sure everything is disconnected.

it is not a hard thing, but if u rush, u r likely to break something...
