Remote starters

Midas installs remote starters but ... not on BMW. The mechanic at the local Midas was honest and told me they had a problem with a BMW, they had to work on it like 3 times. Basically, they install it only on American cars now...

So I'm about to go to a local shop installing car alarms and all these kinds of things.

Is it safe if i let this local store install a remote started on my BMW? They charge about $200.

There's another very good mechanic that i know that didn't feel confident about doing it on a BM ! It looks like people are afraid of Germans

You should be able to get a plug and play one. Other than that I heard they were pretty difficult to install otherwise.

yeah, look for one made by BMW or Stellar. It may be slightly more than the POS at Best Buy, but it will be plug and play and you can install it yourself in an hour or less.

speek to Cliford alarm systems...... i know some one over here in the UK who had one fitted by a Clifird dealer to his Bm......

what kind of alarm do you have? i got mines done at a local shop, im not sure if clifford is a plug and play... but i didn't get any complaints from the person putting it in... dont ever leave it in 1st gear w/ remote start, my bro left it on 1st gear and someone remote started my car, my bmw hit a truck and the truck hit a garage door.... garage door busted open, truck's headlights were broken, suprisingly only a small scuff on my m3... what a relief......
