Thumbs down

My 97 M3 has 157k miles on it... Nothing... I mean NOTHING has been replaced.. besides filters and plugs on the engine since it was born in the factory. And yesterday my water pump failed.

If you cant call that reliability I dont know what you can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HERE IS THE STORY:
So yesterday I took the M out for a spin... like every weekend... I try to atleast let it run for twenty or so minutes...

After a run to the grocery store... on the way back I noticed my temp gauge was maybe a milimeter more towards the hot side..*normally it is dead center*. So... when I got home I popped the hood and took a look...

THANK GOD I DID... My fan was pretty lose... ( came to find out the internal bearings inside the water pump had failed... allowing the fan to move around... or seem lose. So evidently my water pump died.

By the way.. it did have a metle impellar.. if anyone was wondering. Just the internal bearings went dead.

No.... best price online for a new water pump was 49.00 from bimmerworld.com. Bavarian had some BMW coolant for 17something.. and or you could get some Zerex G-05 coolant for some where around 10 per gal.
