ignition switch

I took my battery and alternator down to get tested.They both showed to be good.It will only turn over with a jump from the front hood compartment.

So you jump lead it and turn the key to start or short the starter ???

I didnt jump the starter,I jumped it like normal from the post in hood compartment.

battery charge light

Ok,I can get my battery charge light to come on in key position 1,when I have jumper cables coming from another vehicle from the hood positive post.So battery charge light is ok.

So this means something is not wired correctly........you have this issue scattered throughout at least 3 different threads........just keep it in your alternator thread!
