97 328iS. I bought it used and have no idea what recalls have been serviced. Would the dealer know? The main thing is that the throttle cable adjustment is cracked. I thought I saw a recall for this. If they will pay for it I'd, rather have them do it.
The car had an inspection 2 at a dealer in '01. I would assume anything important would have been done.
i don't think they would have it on record, because the car could have been brought to many different dealers at different times.. unless they have some kind of network which is connected and they log it with your vin number.. which i doubt.. good luck anyways!
Recalls are kept logged by vin#. When I took mine in Sept. they discovered 3 recalls that haven't been done just by running the VIN. Of course they did them free of charge.
out of interest have you got an extended warranty 95 325I - or, is it something BMW will do anyways, i.e for the life of the car, regardless owner / warranty ?
No warranty, when your dealing with recalls they have to be fixed by the dealership regardless.
